Human Resources Generalist (Finance)



SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist is a key position that supports all employees throughout the team member life cycle. In collaboration with the Director of HR, the HR Generalist will manage recruitment processes, including reviewing and processing job descriptions, conducting phone screens and reference checks, and managing onboarding processes for non-exempt and hourly positions, working in applicant tracking systems; assist with annual performance evaluation processes, track and report on hiring, promotion, exit and other metrics; prepare correspondence and presentations; advise supervisors and employees on routine employee relations issues, operating within federal and state employment laws.

Located across from the Chester County Airport with easy access to express Route 30.
Position is Monday-Friday, 5 days a week from 830am-530pm with an hour unpaid lunch. Occasional evenings for special events. This position has the ability to move to a hybrid role two days a week after successful completion of 90-days of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and file new employee files, issue paperwork for new employees, make sure all paperwork for new hires is filled out properly and completely.
Handle all I-9 E-Verify and New Hire reporting in accordance with federal regulations.
Responsible for the talent acquisition process for all hourly and non-exempt positions.
Schedule employee benefit enrollment meetings, complete necessary paperwork and enter it into proper benefits provided sites, assist with benefits billing, processing, and terming employee benefits.
Help with special events such as holiday parties, wellness events, meeting set up and coordination.
Provide employment verifications and prepare written documentation for employees as necessary.
Responsible for maintaining the HRIS system for new and current employees' information.
Preparation and maintenance of employee electronic/paper files.
Conducts the pre-hire onboarding process and coordinate day one activities for new team members.
Assist with administration of HR policies and procedures in accordance with stated business objectives and federal, state and local legal requirements.
Responsible for completing the employee onboarding, off-boarding, transfers, and promotion process.
Administer company benefit plans, including enrollments, life events, and terminations. This includes processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Responsible for administering the FMLA, STD, and LTD programs.
Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions within 3 business days
Conduct employee investigations and recommend actions to effectively resolve policy violations as needed.
Conduct training to inform or assist employees/managers on job related activities, policies, or best practices.
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
Assist with unemployment paperwork when needed.
Elevate matters as needed to the Director of Human Resources as appropriate
Stay current on state/federal employment laws and company policies.
Complies with all Witmer Public Safety Group Policies and Procedures.
Performs any other duties or projects assigned by the management team.
