Job Description
Under mentorship of the Manager of Detector Packaging Operations, your group will provide Manufacturing and Process Engineering support to the Detector Packaging Labs (uncooled products). Your group supports manufacturing, performs failure analysis, and continually improves processes.
You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes used in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. We collaborate with design engineering on the release of new products. We estimate manufacturing costs, calculate time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new and existing product lines. We maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
The work is engaging, combines creativity with detail, and mechanics/electronics/software with theory.
