SIOP & Data Manager (Information Technology)

Responsibilities

Dematic Corp is looking for a dynamic financial leader to lead its controlling activities across our Global Operations organization. As part of the Global Operations Finance team the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and Data Manager will partner with SIOP to develop integrated business management processes across Dematic's Global Operations organization. This position will depend on Operational Excellence techniques to improve processes and remove waste within our organization and manage strategic data enhancement projects. The individual will be tasked with managing initiatives and projects in the areas of data migration, data clean up, data governance & quality, and master data management as it relates to Dematic's Global Operations organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SIOP to drive inventory management, including cycle counts and forecasting of inventory, absorption analysis and cost management, and workload and capacity calculations (SIOP) for the Global Operations organization.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management systems, processes and standards.
  • Increase speed and accuracy to data metrics by streamlining data collection and analysis processes.
  • Build and execute strategy to improve processes between functions and increase data integrity by working with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operations, and Finance globally.
  • Lead operational excellence initiatives between Finance and Operations, with the intent of improving processes and creating alignment between functions, utilizing six sigma and other operational excellence techniques.
  • Implement controls and compliance metrics to reduce data issues and improve data quality.
  • Ability to analyze business trends, with curiosity to dig into the details to get to root causes and explain complex financial situations in simple terms.
  • Make recommendations based on data analysis to drive profitable business growth.
  • Partner with regional and global Finance and Operations teams to ensure forecasting process is streamlined and accurate.
  • Review and present the monthly actual/forecast results to various Executive levels in the organization providing detailed insight into trends and opportunities while providing recommendations for improvement as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong concentration in Finance, Accounting, and/or business-related field. 
  • 8+ years' experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Data Management.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment within a large corporation.
  • Experience with SAP, SQL databases, Salesforce. com, SSRS reporting, and other related applications.
  • Ability to work with large data sets.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
