The Cloud Security Engineer will design, develop, implementation, and maintenance of security architectures to protect systems and data.

How you will do it
Work with the team to design, implement and run security solutions to detect security incidents; vulnerabilities and configurations at the various layers of the cloud infrastructure (virtual machines; containers; network, cloud environment)
Drive our existing cloud security stack & security automation stack - including maintenance of existing environment, developing new solutions architectures, and implementing to improve our capabilities
You will secure & protect various cloud infrastructures.
Coordinate with vendors to identify standard processes and call out potential issues
Define & and implement strategic information security plans
Monitoring, detecting, and participating in response efforts to advanced persistent threats
Work with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/ Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) and other network defense security tools
Advise on Enterprise anti-virus/malware solutions, virus outbreak management, and differentiation of virus activity from attack patterns
Research & develop proof of concepts on new security technologies relevant to the department.
Lead & participate in Request for Proposals for security technology & products.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years or equivalent experience
Experience with the major cloud providers (Azure, Google, Amazon)
Experience with Kubernetes and security tools used in clusters
Experience with a broad array of security technologies, such as EDR, container security, vulnerability assessment, secure configuration, and firewall
Experience with Linux system security
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps etc.)
Experience with Open source and commercial security management tools
Intermediate to advanced experience in Python scripting.
Strong understanding of APIs and building custom integrations using code
Preferred
Experience with Network security methodologies, tactics, techniques, and procedures
Knowledge of Network security architecture, understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, and remote access security techniques/products
Authority on Regulatory compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX)
Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
