Senior UX Designer (Project Management)

Leidos QTC Health Services seeks a Senior UX Designer to help define and design our next-generation products in our AI-Assisted Health Portfolio. You will play an active role in various UX activities from end-to-end research and concept exploration through prototyping and final design deliverables The Senior UX Designer is responsible for creating compelling, consistent, and highly usable applications that exceed our users' needs and expectations while continuing to evolve our platform experience.

Remote candidates may be considered, with a strong preference for candidates willing to be located in San Dimas, CA; San Antonio, TX; Nashville, TN; or Reston; VA. Some travel may be required to other company facilities or customer sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and conduct research activities and collaborative design sessions to fully understand our users and their needs.
  • Uncover business needs, develop design strategies, and communicate your design solutions.
  • Develop, conduct, and continuously improve user research and testing to elicit requirements and usability issues as well as to guide product acceptance.
  • Create iterative UX deliverables such as task/user flows, IA diagrams, prototypes (high and low fidelity), and visual layouts.
  • Provide reasonably accurate estimates of time to complete the various UX phases of a project.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually. Participate in established agile process activities such as iteration planning, stand-ups, iteration demos, and retrospectives.

We seek candidates with the following competencies:

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design methodology, research and testing techniques, information architecture and user-centered design methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve key usability through rapid prototype and iterate based on real user feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing business questions and needs required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create user personas, journey maps, and task flows that drive business decisions
  • Ability to move seamlessly between macro and micro-level problems without losing sight of either.
  • Ability to design within a living design system as well as support its continued maturation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Visual Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors, Interaction Design or related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in user experience design, user research, interaction design and/or visual/interactive design.
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro, rapid prototyping tools, diagramming and flow chart tools, etc.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design processes and solutions.
  • Experience in developing and weaving together a strong interaction design and a robust visual design to produce a seamless, effortless experience.
  • Experience working in or building Design Systems such as Lightning Design System.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Low-code platform UI design such as Salesforce, Pega, etc
  • Experience in a large-scale, iterative software development environment preferred.
  • Experience designing for and within enterprise software platforms preferred.
  • Education:
    • Master's Degree in Visual design, graphic design, human factors, interaction design preferred.
    • Professional certifications from AWS & Salesforce
