Position Summary:
This position will with work closely with the Director of Field Education and Director of Online Education to implement, support and maintain all aspects of field education for the online and hybrid MSW students. The position will be responsible for the identification, development and maintenance of agency placements to serve this population of students. This position will serve as the primary student contact and support for all field related matters for students in these enrollment models. The position will require use of technology, nontraditional hours, and some travel.
* Work with Director of Online Education to develop and implement all aspects
of field education in the hybrid/online environment
* Work with Director of Field Education to ensure all policies and procedures
meet accreditation standards
* Identify, develop and maintain appropriate field settings and relationships with
field instructors
* Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with social service
agencies, including agency sites outside of the Houston area
* Develop, organize and lead all hybrid and online student orientations regarding
field education
* Work with the distance Field Liaisons to monitor student progress outside of
the Greater Houston Area
* Work with Student Affairs to monitor hybrid and online student enrollment
plans and scholarship & fellowship requirements
* Maintain accurate student records and projected student placement needs
* Develop and execute student support systems in an online environment,
including regular communication with students
* Participate in Field Practicum Advisory Committee
* Represent program at professional organizations and conferences
* Review current research and best practices for online field education
* Travel within the region to visit agency sites
* Manage and support databases
