Campus Hygiene Cleaning Specialist (Healthcare)
Cleaning & disinfecting floors using floor scrubber, broom, mop as needed
Disinfecting restrooms fixtures, break areas and offices
Removing trash
Washing window and glass
Cleaning machines
Removing snow with a shovel or snow thrower
Clean equipment, walls, ceilings and facilities using scissor lifts and JLG
Communicate areas are being maintained by using appropriate warning signs
Communicate preventive maintenance performed, supplies used and time associated with the completed work via computerized system and standard operating procedures
Communicate and address safety issues and equipment repairs needed immediately as discovered in a collaborative way with teammates, Facilities Manager, supervisors, engineers and operators
Performing preventive and reactive cleaning/maintenance on facilities, small devices or equipment as trained and assigned.
Strictly complying with hygiene standards for all work areas
Safely and legally operating motorized vehicles and heavy equipment
Temporarily connecting power cables safely to small cleaning equipment
Exhibiting exemplary safety habits in all work assignments ( i.e. Proper PPE)
Inspecting work equipment as directed
Supporting and participating in continuous improvement projects as requested
Qualifications and Competencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the ability to accurately identify and reach the area for maintenance, execute the cleaning or minor repair and return the equipment or area to the desired state. They must possess excellent orientation skills, and understand basic mechanical principles. Other tasks include:
Knowledge to operate desktop computer
Knowledge to operate cellular and office telephone system
Knowledge to use Maintenance and ERP Systems
Education
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
Experience
Experience as an industrial cleaner is preferred
