Director Advocacy 021065 (Personal Services)
Summary
Under the direction of Operations Leadership, the Director of Advocacy is responsible for identifying and developing strategic action plans to respond to division and departmental needs. This position has oversight for all Advocacy Departments within Operations and coordinates all strategic initiatives relative to Advocacy. This position reviews and is accountable to ensure the department meets metrics and deliverables to provide strategic direction and prioritization within Advocacy, and Operations as a whole. This position will direct the strategic and tactical planning efforts among the Advocacy Operational Units including but not limited to, Medicare Advocacy Unit (MAU) Commercial Advocacy Unit (CAU) and Provider Advocacy Unit (PAU). This position will be responsible for developing staff through coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure that the related Customer Operations expectations, corporate goals, BCBSA performance standards, federal and state mandate objectives are achieved. This role oversees operational reporting and analysis for MAU, CAU and PAU projects and initiatives and provides robust updates to senior leaders as necessary including updates at HPOR, HPET, MCOC etc.
