Production Planner and Data Analyst (Finance)

THE ROLE

The Production Planning + Data Analyst role is responsible for planning the Southside Soapbox (SSSB) manufacturing facility to meet our customer shipment requirements and maintains business objectives for lean manufacturing. Through utilization of ERP tools, this role translates finished goods demand into achievable manufacturing schedules that ensure on-time delivery and build to line capacity within corporate guidelines. The Production Planning + Data Analyst role has constant interface with every level of the organization (Leadership Team, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Production and Logistics) and must demonstrate forward thinking with the ability to proactively identify and quantify business gaps while deliver planning solutions that drive process improvement.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Create and maintain the monthly finished goods master production schedule for the SSSB while coordinating adjustments for changes in customer requirements, delay in receiving raw materials, availability of production equipment, and scheduled line downtime
  • actively communicate production delays to the Supply Planning team
  • Maintain production schedule for SSSB; coordinate adjustments for changes in demand, raw material delays, schedule line downtime based on preventative maintenance and other engineering/maintenance needs
  • Communicate delays in production schedule to supply planning
  • New Product Introduction
  • Redzone tableau report creation/maintenance
  • Reporting production metrics, downtime
  • Maintain and publish SARA (Schedule Adherence Reasons Adding) Report
  • PCOF/COF Reporting Analysis
  • SLOB (Slow Moving Obsolete Inventory) Analysis
  • Material runout/excess inventory report
  • Runout and transition from obsolete to new raw materials
  • Material shortage report
  • Raw material PO review and escalations with material planners/vendors
  • Expansion of SAP training
  • Creation of training documents for SAP reporting
  • Designated material planning team attendee for Method commercialization
  • Designated material planning team attendee for MMCD commercialization
  • Raw Material Master Data setup for insourcing projects
  • Alternate material BOM changes in SAP
  • FlowEze bottle PO postings
  • Indirect Service PO postings
  • Inventory adjustments for IM managed items
  • Business Warehouse/Data Lake report creation

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in S&OP within a manufacturing environment, including material planning and production scheduling in a CPG manufacturing facility
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Preferred:

  • Ability to productively/positively partner with others while working in a fast paced, team oriented, growing company.
  • Working knowledge of Material Management systems such as SAP, Syspro
  • Strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, materials planning, customer service, and supplier management
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate across multiple departments and levels of the organization
  • Has worked and is familiar with MRP operating systems such as SAP, Syspro. Also has experience in Microsoft Excel and can create spreadsheets and navigate through many of the basics functions of excel (Filtering, formulas, charts etc.)
  • Proactive approach and work ethic appropriate for a fast-paced, team-oriented growing company
  • Create thinking skills to identify "out of the box" solutions to challenging opportunities
  • Passion for creating process, systems improvement, and change management
  • Sense of humor, a positive outlook with a "can-do" attitude!
