Fully responsible for all aspects of the station (combined Menzies and ASIG station operations). Services offered at the station include US Mail handling (Shared Network).
Fully accountable for the financial performance and compliance with Corporate Governance, legal and quality aspects of Menzies' businesses in the station
Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes and service delivery.
Regularly interacts with customer & affiliates to promote the station and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. Uses feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes
Implementation of the company policies and procedures, promoting sound safety, security and people management practice.
Promoting and driving a ‘safety first' culture through all levels of the organisation.
Ensure the business unit remains fully compliant with internal standards and all relevant industry, regulatory and state legislated requirements.
Lead and motivate hard working teams to deliver excellent quality and productivity
Directing and motivating station leadership to achieve agreed targets and expectations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training program. Head count management; operation planning; staff scheduling; resource allocation; LoB-specific training/policy/SOP development; Payroll administration; Purchasing & vendor-relations; customer-relations; facility & equipment maintenance oversight; invoicing & revenue management
Compliance with State/Federal/Company/Contractual laws, regulations, policies, guidelines & obligations; pertaining but not limited to labor, workplace, transportation, & record-keeping

Maintaining communication and daily reporting for Post Office. Scheduling and planning are critical.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Degree or postgraduate qualification
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Wide ranging general management experience, with some years of senior management experience
Extensive management experience, preferably in a ground handling, mail handling or a logistics environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels.
Interpersonal skills: Independence, decisiveness and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support. Able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels
Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and able to learn other computer-based systems
