The Sr. P&O Business Partner provides P&O support in areas of M&A, joint venture and/or partnerships for future Edge/Food new business platforms and the existing EDGE/Food platforms of Symbioscience, foodspring and Tasty Bite.This role partners with the Edge team, the leads of the respective platform businesses & VP P&O Edge/Food to develop and implement P&O plans to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.
What are we looking for?
Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Preferred qualification: Master / Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
5+ years of progressive P&O/HR experience
Solid knowledge of US labor regulations and understand their application in solving business needs and ability to provide guidance
Preferred experience in 'start-up' and/or partnership and/or joint venture type environments.
Preferred experience with long term incentive design, leveraging expertise from Rewards COE
Preferred Workday HRIS experience
Effective in building relationship at all levels
Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail
Able to solve challenges with a data mindset; utilizes available data and informs stakeholders using a data centric approach to prioritize, influence and drive outcomes
Good business acumen / business experience
Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions to a positive business outcome
Ability to effectively manage and work within ambiguity and prioritize on business needs and resources
What would be your key responsibilities?
Provide P&O support in areas of M&A, joint venture and/or partnerships for future Edge/Food new business platforms and existing EDGE/Food platforms of Symbioscience, foodspring and Tasty Bite.
Partner with the Edge team, the leads of the respective platform businesses & VP P&O Edge/Food to develop and implement P&O plans to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.
Establish and deploy winning strategies in the areas of talent, organizational development (including capabilities), change management, culture and performance initiatives to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned while driving a balance of business and associate advocacy.
Deploy Organizational Development (OD) tools and data analytics to develop and deploy rigorous people plans and strategies that supports business growth and associate development.
Partner with MyP&O and P&O Centers of Excellence (e.g., Rewards, Talent, etc.) to collaboratively deploy global experiences and interventions as needed.
For non-integrated businesses, where appropriate, connect with Mars CoEs and MyP&O to establish on demand services for a sustainable operating model before and after integration.
Partner with cross-functional senior leaders to lead the people, change and culture initiatives
Coach LMs through the ways of working, enabling them to develop Associates and improve engagement and team wellbeing living up to the expectation of a Mars' Great Line Manager.
Manage or deliver unit-specific projects to drive change and transformation, where appropriate embed the adoption of Mars signature people programs and Essence of Mars and communicate emerging needs to CoEs.
Enabling Operations: Guide, support and position the MyP&O team and LMs to most effectively and efficiently support Associates.
Work to ensure efficiency and effectiveness with the Talent Acquisition and Associate Relations teams, within the MyP&O Operating Model. Problem solve escalations throughout P&O model to drive resolution.
