Maritime Project Manager (Finance)

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and executing the development, implementation, and enhancement of organizational change techniques, strategies, and activities which support the strategic and operational goals of assigned business unit.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Structures, designs, and implements project plans that deliver the project's defined goals and objectives within the intended timeframe, while accounting for interdependencies and risks. Manages and prioritizes the project portfolio, including cross-project dependencies and resource assignment. Leads and performs need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments to ensure business requirements are fulfilled, risks are mitigated, and value is optimized. Develops and implements performance metrics and other tools to track performance to operating plans, budgets, forecasts and/or schedules. Oversees and provides consultative services to leadership, as well as individuals and teams responsible for executing the organization's project portfolio, to understand objectives and design requirements for the project. Leads and performs need, trend, feasibility, performance and readiness assessments to ensure business requirements are fulfilled, risks are mitigated, and value is optimized. Develops tactical organizational change management plans that minimize disruption of normal business operations and employee resistance, as well as maximize employee engagement, alignment and ability with a future change state. Anticipates internal/external business challenges and recommends and implements project and change management value opportunities, including policies, process optimization, and internal client relationship management improvements. May participate in development and facilitate training and evaluations for organizational change management standards, processes and tools. Partners with the organization to maintain a unified approach to deploying organization change management. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in organization development, business, or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: 8 years progressive experience preferably in the areas of project management and/or change management.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel in addition to utilizing project management software such as Primavera, At Task and/or Microsoft Project.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to assess project risks and exposures; identify options and alternatives, make decisions and implement corrective actions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based on in-depth data, substantiating information, and considering and respecting other's input, personal values and ethics. Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management. Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.

OTHER: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time. Apply
