This is an exciting time to be a part of this team driving Aruba's pivotal initiative of edge-to-cloud transformation.

What you'll do:

We are seeking a Solutions Architect (SA) who shall be a key member of the Aruba Central Product Management team and will develop technical expertise and operational excellence across all of Aruba's products and technologies delivered through Aruba Central.

Think of being at the center of product development. For example: What are the pain points of network operators? Is it visibility of who and what's connecting to the network and what are they accessing? Can we simplify and automate policy definitions based on user behavior and network activity to drive business outcomes? Are my users having the best experience on the business-critical applications? Can we predict potential network anomalies and preempt issues before they turn into outages? If things go wrong, can we automate root-cause analysis and provide AI-driven recommendations to fix them?

In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams across product management to define requirements which deliver innovative end-to-end operator experience, engineering teams to translate those requirements and field teams (SEs) to demonstrate those capabilities so they can in turn drive value for the customer.

You will be a technology evangelist for Aruba Central to enable internal teams such as Systems Engineers, Account/Territory Managers and Customers, Channel Partners alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the SME in the realm of the single pane of glass of Aruba's ESP vision which is Aruba Central
  • Work closely with product, engineering, QA teams to review feature definitions, inner workings, and acceptance criteria to ensure user workflows are met
  • Author technical collateral in form of customer facing product presentations, reference architectures, solution guides, bite-sized feature videos for internal and external consumption
  • Build and maintain demo testbeds and demo scripts to showcase the latest feature set
  • Conduct evaluations of competitive products to identify gaps in the product
  • Develop cutting-edge demos for Tech Keynotes at Aruba events like Atmosphere, Sales Kickoffs, HPE Aspire, TSS, etc. as well as conduct live demos and presentations/training sessions for partners and customers

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring customer first, customer last mindset
  • Be the first to go hands-on with the latest and greatest code drop on a new feature
  • Be the voice of the customer and translate customer feedback into requirements to drive feature enhancements and product development
  • Be inquisitive about the competitive landscape to stay abreast or ahead
  • Explore integrations with 3rd party vendor produce that drive value for our customers from a solution standpoint
  • Leverage domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of features and product roadmap

Qualifications:

  • BS CS or EE with x+ years or MS CS or EE with y+ years  of experience in Technical Marketing, Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer support or equivalent role
  • Networking industry certifications (ACMX/ACDX/CCNE/CWNE/CCIE) are highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of LAN, WLAN, WAN and NAC protocols and technologies including switching, wireless, routing, and security is required
  • Strong understanding of Cloud-managed network management platforms and end-user workflows of onboarding, configuring, provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of at least one leading cloud vendor platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) technologies such as Identity & Access Management, Storage, Compute, etc.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels
  • Working knowledge of REST API framework and python-based network automation scripts

Bonus Points:

  • Machine Learning fundamentals
  • Expertise in Design Thinking methodologies and working with UX
