• This is a one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program and the candidate/applicant must be able to complete the entire one-year program
• Intern must be a recent college graduate
• Pay will be up to $30,000 annually

Job Description:

Job Objective

The PTC Legal Team strives to be a valued business partner accelerating innovation and access to our medicines for patients in need, while balancing opportunity and risk in the conduct of our work.  In every matter we handle, we strive to:

During your one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program internship, you will work closely with experienced in-house attorneys on projects / tasks that may include:

  • Supporting Legal Team projects and initiatives (for example, contract management systems, training, templates, etc.).
  • Drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating agreements supporting the acquisition, development and commercialization of the Company's products.
  • Legal / other research projects.
  • Drafting, reviewing and revising investor disclosure statements.
  • Supporting corporate governance initiatives (for example, management of corporate subsidiaries).
  • Supporting litigation projects.
  • Providing legal support for the business and interacting cross-functionally with other departments including Research and Development, Regulatory, Sales and Marketing, Medical, Patient Engagement, Intellectual Property, Compliance, Finance, IT and Human Resources.

Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.

  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.

  • Observing and learning from experienced staff members.

  • Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.

  • Taking detailed notes and liaising with Managers, Supervisors, and other senior staff.

  • Fulfilling any requirements and meeting goals identified at the start of or during the Internship.

  • Following all company rules, requirements, and health and safety codes.

  • Preparing documents and updating records.

Experience / Qualifications

  • J.D (Juris Doctor)
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • This is a one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program and the candidate/applicant must be able to complete the entire one-year program.
  • Intern must be a recent college graduate.
