Kenco
Vice President, Information Technology Service Delivery (Information Technology)
About the Position
The Vice President, IT Service Delivery will be responsible for Infrastructure and Datacenter Operations, Networking, Change Management, IT Asset Management, Database Administration and Service Desk and Application Support. Additionally, the position will be responsible for successfully delivering on Kenco's cloud transformation initiatives.
This new role brings together the critical strategic and administrative activities under one leader with the intention of further increasing the strategic and operational effectiveness, efficiency and speed of these critical functions. The VP of IT Service Delivery ensures the availability, performance, resiliency, scalability, and security of complex, technical, customer facing data center environments, and prevents customer impacting events. Every interruption in data center delivered services impacts customer satisfaction and loyalty and may impede business growth.
The advent of technologies, such as the cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT), and the pivot to lean and agile organizations led by the DevOps movement requires a broader set of skills and experience among Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) leaders. The need to develop a meaningful and collaborative partnership with the business requires a business-focused mindset and the desire to overcome the barriers that have traditionally divided IT from the business.
This degree of change will require strong leadership, as I&O leaders will need to manage changes to the culture, as well as the organization's operating model (with the need to accommodate bimodal working). Staff will need to be supported and guided, as they develop the attributes and characteristics required to deliver great customer service and meet the business requirements and associated outcomes.
This role requires solid technical infrastructure experience, strong project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, in addition to a superior, service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations. This position is responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy. It also ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.
