What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will evaluate proposal requests from both Linde Gas and external/third party clients for all product types and product lines
  • Coordinate and develop base project scope, identify appropriate engineering disciplines and obtain necessary resources to support the proposal effort
  • You will estimate expected proposal labor cost and proposal schedule to aid justification for bid/no-bid process
  • Coordinate with PlantServ and Linde Engineering skills/disciplines to develop an engineered solution to meet client request
  • Lead proposal efforts and facilitate multi-organizational communication between engineering resources and client representatives, managing supply of technical deliverables to meet client's proposal expectations
  • Collaborate with proposal team to develop project execution strategy, compile cost book, and build preliminary project execution milestone schedule
  • Develop formal proposal documentation, including technical and commercial proposal and/or proposal summary
  • Lead proposal challenge meetings with PlantServ management team
  • Summarize and present commercial and technical aspects of approved proposals to stakeholders, both Linde Gas and third party
  • You will lead proposal handover to project execution team
  • You will be responsible for multiple overlapping efforts with short durations and critical deadlines

What makes you great

  • You will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical industry (air separation, hydrogen/CO2 production, rare gas operation, or equivalent)
  • You possess the ability to make strong technical decisions while working with limited or vague information
  • Able to make technical decisions based on feasibility, CAPEX/OPEX cost, TCO, and system integration
  • You have awareness of Linde standards, guidelines, safety and operability best practices and industry standards
  • Innovative in developing, selecting, and implementing engineered and solutions to solve difficult problems
  • You can communicate effectively, including excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • You have the ability to travel approximately 10%
  • Lastly you have demonstrated the ability to meet schedule deadlines
