Matrix is seeking a dynamic, industry-experienced Regional Sales Manager! Because we want the best possible candidate, we are open to having this position based somewhere other than our Milwaukee-area location.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Matrix is seeking a talented Regional Sales Manager to contribute to our success by proactively developing leads, building excellent customer relationships, and increasing company sales from customers to achieve sales goals. Successful candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial attitude and intellectually curious mindset combined with the appropriate process orientation, analytical skills, sharp focus and willingness to embrace change. They will be a self-motivated, self-starter, with a strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth. In this vital role you will: • Prospect, develop, and follow up on new accounts and maintain existing account relations in an ethical and profitable manner. • Promote & Sell Matrix vertical form fill seal packaging equipment for all types of flexible packaging solutions, capabilities, spare parts, service, and support and establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base. This includes development and execution of a regional penetration plan. • Perform lead generating activities, i.e. Call, Email, Attend Conferences & Trade Shows, Network within the industries, etc. • Follow up on company-supplied leads in a timely manner • Work closely with customers to ensure the meeting of all goals, objectives, and customer satisfaction • Team with Company Sales Agents to increase sales and provide advice on ways to improve sales performance • Maintain a prospect-customer CRM/data base. Develop and maintain sales reports in keeping with company reporting mechanisms • As required, develop technical solutions to unusually complex solutions and provide sales/technical assistance to other company sales professionals • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotes. Negotiate contracts • Achieve and maintain annual sales goals • Develop Attend trainings and meetings as required by leadership • Stay abreast of new technology, market developments, and competitor offerings and keep current on trends from both market and technical standpoints • Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influences, define gaps in products or services, and develop and implement the necessary tools to capitalize on opportunities
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's or Technical Degree (Engineering/Technical preferred) • Packaging, Capital Equipment, Engineered Manufacturing System/Equipment background/experience, knowledge of vertical form fill seal packaging industries and applications preferred • 8+ years proven sales experience preferred. • Ability to identify customer needs and match their requirements with company product/solution/services; Adaptable and open to change regarding customer solutions and internal company business plan; able to use benchmarking as well as direct experience as a catalyst to drive change and a spirit of continuous improvement • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills • Ability to travel up to 50%; must be located by a major airport
