Summary:
This 2nd shift position is responsible for providing leadership to direct reports in support of the manufacturing of Dexcom products to achieve goals and tracks progress using performance metrics. The preferred candidate drives a culture of compliance, ownership and continuous improvement by blending an understanding of lean concepts with a working knowledge of equipment, processes and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Manufacturing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five or more years of supervisory/leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
