Senior Medical Technologist (Finance)
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain procedure manuals for the section current, technically accurate, clearly stated, and conform to all existing format criteria. Perform all technical procedures within the section when necessary. Review the section Quality Control, LIS daily reports and any abnormal outgoing reports. Prepare weekly and monthly reports: PI data and other requested reports. Prepare section for upcoming certifications and inspections. Maintain current inventory of sectional supplies and their usage. Monitor equipmentmaintenance and reagent and control usage. Prepare quarterly and annual evaluations of employees in the section. Provide employees withcounseling when needed. Provide orientation for new employees on the section as well as the Hospital and Laboratory Policies and Procedures. Assist them in filling out proper documentation for personnel use. Monitor the LIS and HIS computer downtime to ensure timely reporting of results. Identify all problems in the section and implement appropriate solutions according to approved Laboratory policies and procedures. Complete departmental and hospital wide competencies to include age specific competency. Participate in the ongoing performance improvement of the department
