Machine Operator (Fabricator) (Manufacturing)



Beltservice Corporation has an immediate opening for a diligent and detail-oriented Machine Operator (Fabricator) on our 1st shift (Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). This individual will set up machinery and perform fabrication for plastic modular conveyor belts.

Responsibilities:

Read and understand orders with prints, drawings, or fabrication instructions using knowledge of belt/product composition, equipment, and fabrication processes.
Fixturing set up for cutting/ milling materials.
Operate bandsaw, drilling/milling machines, cutting and routing machines.
Work both individually and together with team members to complete custom job orders.
Use basic hand tools (hammer, knives, wrenches, measuring tapes, T-squares, etc.) and power tools (drills, sanders, grinders) to perform detail work specific to each project.
Clean finished products and areas around the machines per 5S guidelines.
Inspect, review, and sign off on a quality control sheet for the finished product.
Log and record readings for equipment and procedures.
Properly document labor and goods to production orders.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance.


Requirements:

High School Diploma, or GED equivalent, preferred.
Must be able to comprehend spoken and written English.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Legally eligible for employment in this country.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

CNC equipment operator knowledge (programming not required).
Ability to adhere to safety standards.
Basic math skills, including the use of fractions and measurements.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
Ability to inspect products for quality work.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Proper use of PPE always required in and around work areas.

Starting wage from $22.00-24.00/hour
