The Community Supports Network, Inc. (CSN), is a strengths-based, multi-state organization whose Mission it is to support people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs to reach their goals to live, to work, and to contribute to their community. CSN is looking to contract with an RN to provide strengths-based training and on-call support to unlicensed staff. Contract approximately 10 hours/week daytime hours. Contract RN will be responsible for: • Delegation of duties to trained and competent staff within the scope of practice as allowed by state statute and regulation. • Medication administration training and competency verification for staff and directing and monitoring for the provision of medications by Medication Aides, which may include written instructions, on-site training and/or phone consultations. • Written instructions, training and competency verification for staff related to the health and medical needs of people receiving support, which may include on-site training and/or phone consultations. • Duties and additional activities within the scope of practice. • Monthly quality assurance reviews and reports.
What do I need in order to be qualified? At minimum, have an active RN license in the state of Iowa, have the ability and availability to be on-call and take phone-calls throughout the week from agency staff and the ability to work as a part of a team to provide guidance, support and inspire confidence in others to move them to action.
Desired qualifications: Experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and/or mental health services. Experience in coaching others to achieve high quality health outcomes, training, quality assurance and nursing systems in multiple states.
