Benefits Manager (Finance)
Lead and oversee Team of Benefit Specialists/Account Executives with carrier and product knowledge, discussion of complex issues, timeliness of projects, oversight of performance.
Compile data, preparation for account meetings, renewals, and new clients.
Create computer spreadsheets and databases, using Excel and specialized industry software. Use Excel to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs.
Prepare monthly claims reporting by retrieving claims data from carriers and using that data to prepare client facing reports and documents. Assist in reviewing claims reporting with clients as needed or requested with Agent/Broker.
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
Support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Prepare documentation for contracts including master group applications and. employee enrolment software (Employee Navigator* & our proprietary software).
Reconcile, note, report and correct discrepancies found in records.
Maintain office equipment including copy machine, phone system and computer network.
Perform general office duties, such as scanning, answering telephones, and handling routine office tasks including working on projects determined by corporate priorities.
Skills & Qualifications:
Understand industry specific systems, how to maximize their use and how changes in the industry can be captured using software
Research and recommend software to meet the needs of the agency
Strong group employee benefits/Groups background and expertise
Maintain equipment, facilities, and materials
Microsoft Office suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
Customer/Client Relationship platform knowledge/experience (Zywave, Employee Navigator, EasyApps, FormFire, Hubspot, Zoho, etc.)
HR and Payroll Experience preferred
