Junior Graphic Designer (Creative Design)



The Graphic Designer will primarily focus on executing Ollie's Bargain Outlet email marketing campaign strategy including design, testing, development and troubleshooting to consistently deliver marketing and advertising to Ollie's extensive, nation-wide customer base. Key skill sets for this Graphic Designer role include general graphic design layout and a strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS coding and inDesign.  This position requires on-site work at Ollie's Corporate Headquarters in Harrisburg, PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Compose multiple weekly emails utilizing online Content Builder and other technical skill sets.
  • Collaborate and work with Creative Manager and Customer Loyalty to test and implement solutions for growing needs, such as custom email personalization.
  • Develop and maintain cadences and rhythms of email campaigns and offerings for on-line market presence and connectivity with Ollie's customer base.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of email best practices and testing rendering consistency across all desktop and mobile platforms using Litmus.
  • Function as subject matter expert and advisor to team regarding email trends/best practices and proactively seek out upskill opportunities.
  • Translate given product ads into functional email deliverables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Complete graphic design layout and other potential creative executions.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Graphic Design or related field preferred
  • 2+ years experience in email development marketing, HTML and CSS coding preferred
  • Extensive, working knowledge of InDesign
  • Knowledge of MAC computer system, Photoshop, & Illustrator.
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing within retail preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
  • Ability to bend and twist occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
