Lead Development Representative (Sales)

Blackboard's Education Services division is changing the way our clients reach, engage, and retain the students they serve. For over five years, Blackboard has invested in a set of services directly aligned with helping institutions deliver personalized student experiences, through technology and services that support students throughout their entire educational pathway. The Education Services solutions support key institutional functions in strategic planning, course development, marketing, enrollment, admissions, student records, registration, financial aid, and IT help desk.
As Lead Development Rep, you will report to the Director of Inside Sales and Customer Enablement and work with the relevant field marketing and sales leadership executives. You will identify new potential opportunities by effectively communicating to specific target accounts and with leads generated through corporate and field marketing campaigns. This is primarily a phone-based role in our Greenville, SC office. You will help identify buying cycles, pending purchasing decisions, and technology spending plans, decision-makers, and systems in use for Higher Education institutions and companies with professional development programs. You'll also raise awareness and consideration for Blackboard products and services within these prospect accounts, with the goal of handing a warm lead to the relevant field rep, and will help set appointments for that rep.
