The manager of technology will own PBV's overall technology environment, including infrastructure, hardware, associated software, telecommunications, and support services. Position requires a senior hands-on manager who provides architecture guidance and leadership for systems administration, client technology support, and service desk teams.
-Leadership: Leads three managers responsible for systems administration, client technology support, and service desk
-Management: Works with IT leadership in defining technology strategy.
-Management: Manages technology projects across multiple technical domains.-
-Management: Designs and oversees processes for managing and improving technology operations (systems administration, network management, client technology support, service desk, cyber security, disaster recovery, etc.)
-Architecture: Works with IT and business leadership to gather technology requirements and architect solutions
-Operations: Designs and oversees the hardware and software inventory tracking process; recommends and ensures implementation of technology refreshes and software updates in a timely manner
-Operations: Ensures systems operate efficiently by performing routine hardware, software, network, and security monitoring
-Customer service: Evaluates onsite and remote service requirements; establishes and maintains incident, problem, and change management and escalations procedures. Ensures company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, computer science or related preferred
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)foundation certification preferred
Certifications in systems security, networking, and systems administration preferred.
Experience architecting, implementing and supporting many of the following areas:
SQL Database Administration
UNIX administration
Storage Area Network Administration
LAN/WAN technologies
VoIP
Helpdesk Operations
Mobile Technology
Wireless Technology
PC based Technologies
Windows Networking
Active Directory
Technology Security
Cyber Security
Cloud Computing
Must have people coaching and development skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to analyze requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Strong planner and organizer with demonstrated ability to master new concepts quickly, incorporate the latest technology and develop business solutions that increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and strong customer service orientation. Must have successful previous experience prioritizing multiple tasks, managing tasks, and adapting to a changing environment. Project management experience required. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks. Must be willing to travel 25% by car or plane.
This position will interact
-With primary direct reports and sub-reports within the technology team
-with IT and business leadership while defining technology strategy and architecture
-with all level of end users while ensuring effective production support
-with vendors while performing technology evaluations
-with vendors and consulting partners to procure implementation and support services.
Constantly (90%) required to sit. Occasionally (10%) required to walk and stand.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
