Position description
The Family Medicine team is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team working in either Owatonna or Faribault. Owatonna is the primary site, and the successful candidate may also be asked to care for patients at other clinic locations in the primary service area.
The selected individual will practice full scope family medicine primary care on a multidisciplinary team, along-side internal medicine and pediatric practices.. APP's are empaneled in our primary care practices and are integral in providing a range of services including acute access, chronic disease management, and continuity in our population based practice.
Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, (or eligible to be certified), as an ANP, ACNP, or FNP. Licensure must allow provider to see the full spectrum of patients from newborn through geriatrics.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. A current registration or temporary permit with the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice is required.
Must be eligible for DEA registration. Basic Life Support certification required.
Additional qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or hospital is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
