Payroll and HR Operations Coordinator (Administrative)



The salary for this position starts at $20.78. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.
1. Job Summary:
The Payroll and HR Operations Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely data entry of employee data to support accurate payroll processing. Monitor service request tickets and resolve if able or escalate tickets to appropriate team member for resolution. Serve as back-up to payroll and tax processing and employee data and timesheet audits.

2. Essential Functions:
· Ensure timely and accurate data entry for HR Actions with data integrity lens; including- but not limited to benefits, pay/job changes, allocations, etc.
· Collaborate with payroll manager to ensure payroll processing and tax reconciling/filing procedures are maintained.
· Serve as back up payroll and tax processing and for employee data and timesheet audits to ensure business continuity.
· Provide customer first service to team members by monitoring and resolving request tickets or escalating to appropriate team member for resolution.
· Develop tracking system to monitor and ensure timely and accurate processing of compliance related times; including but not limited to: W2 distribution, 1095C forms, required reporting, wage and garnishment, tax filing, etc. Communicate compliance issues to leader prior to being out of compliance.
· Support payroll manager in payroll adjustments, including additional pay, retro pay, and special items related to taxes and benefits in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
· Partner with third-party to verify and process involuntary deductions, including but not limited to wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies.
· Support accurate and timely transmission of third-party interfaces related to payroll processing. These include retirement plan contributions, wage payments, taxes, garnishments, and employment data.
· Processes employment verifications and unemployment wage notifications that third party vendor cannot process.
· Other projects or duties as assigned.

3. Relationships:
This position reports to the Vice President of People Operations and Total Rewards who reports to the Senior Vice President of People and Culture. The individual will also take work direction from payroll manager to ensure efficient business continuity for payroll and tax purposes. The incumbent also interacts with People and Culture team, team members across all levels as well as external service providers including federal/state authorities.

4. Qualifications:
Required
· Associates degree; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· Minimum two (2) years of experience with payroll processing or HRIS systems.
· Ability to work extended hours to ensure timely and accurately payroll processing, specifically Monday and Tuesday of payroll processing weeks.
· Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize and meet tight and often competing deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Preferred
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or human resources.
· Bi/multilingual.
· Experience with UKG Ready.

5. Physical Demands:
· Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
· Ability to communicate to team members and volunteers via telephone, email or in person.
· Ability to operate office equipment: copier, printer, fax machine, and computer.
· Ability to travel to various locations for meetings and trainings.
