Operates, and controls equipment in accordance with established limits and procedures to maximize the safe production of silica product.
Samples and analyzes silica products and takes appropriate action to produce product within established objectives.
Adjusts, inspects, and cleans machinery and associated equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Performs preventive maintenance and operational adjustments/repairs on all related machinery and equipment.
Assists maintenance personnel as required.
Fuels, lubricates, and makes operating repairs and adjustments to equipment as required.
Performs daily cleanup and wash downs with frequent use of high-pressure water lines to control dust exposures and maintain housekeeping and plant appearance.
Complete required reports at the designated times and areas Wet/Dry:
Achieve and maintain State Certification as a “Surface Mine Supervisor”
Operate pit pumps and equipment as required (Mine Operator have primary responsibility for operating the Mining Area). Milling:
Manufacture, in-plant transportation, storage, and testing of in-process and finished products
To determine the grade requirements, processing sequence, grinding circuit allocation, and product destination
Release of Sil-Co-Sil bulk truck shipments on the basis of sieve analysis results of individual trucks. Micron Bagging:
Prepares bags for filling and operates packaging equipment, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and related equipment, and also hand-stacks bags to insure sand bags are stacked properly on pallets and/or slip-sheets and prepared for storage and shipment.
Removes broken bags from bagging circuit. Cleans and disposes of waste bags and sand as required.
Makes programming changes and adjustments to ink-jet printers and label machines used in identifying lot numbers, products, etc.
Moves palletized bags in palletizing areas and warehouses using forklift.
Performs laboratory tests and analysis on silica products and adjusts processing machinery, associated equipment, and product flow accordingly.
This position physically requires repetitive lifting, turning, and placement of packaged silica sand products weighing approximately 50 pounds per package and frequent use of highpressure water lines. Bulk Loading / unloading:
Spots, inspects, cleans, loads, and seals railroad cars in accordance with established procedures, operating requirements, and shipping schedules.
Loads trucks in accordance within established procedures.
Provides assistance in resolving problems or questions regarding the truck scale system.
Operate the railcar mover and perform raw sand unloading duties as required.
