Senior Corporate Accountant (Finance)



Department:                  Accounting & Revenue Recognition

Reports to:                     Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

FLSA Status:                   Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company's corporate general ledger, while also working closely with accounting and finance leadership to enhance and maintain the company's cash management and cash forecasting functions.  This dynamic position requires attention to detail, the ability to think on your feet, and working collaboratively across departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate accounting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and reconcile corporate general ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure AP processes comply with internal controls and company policies.
  • Support various elements of the payroll function.
  • Analyze corporate financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with property accounting teams to ensure appropriate consolidation of financial data.
  • Support corporate budgeting process.
  • Formalize and enhance cash management and cash forecasting processes.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
  • 4+ years related accounting experience, real estate or public accounting preferred
  • JD Edwards (or similar real estate platform) proficiency preferred

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Knowledge of financial information related to financial statements and related accounting matters, with US GAAP or IFRS experience preferred
