RTW Assistant (Education)
The RTW Assistant is responsible for supporting the accurate intake, inspection, and processing of vintage and contemporary ready-to-wear from top luxury brands such as Chanel, Herms, and Louis Vuitton. This hands-on role ensures product is received, quality-checked, labeled, and transferred according to operational standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop foundational skills in luxury authentication, inventory management, and cross-functional operations.
Responsibilites:
Accurately input product specifications for luxury and vintage ready-to-wear into the internal inventory management system
Monitor buy sheets and track incoming shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product
Receive and process inbound and outbound transfers, verifying documentation and inventory accuracy
Conduct quality checks on pre-owned garments, assessing condition, identifying damage, and flagging issues such as stains, odors, pilling, and missing components
Prepare garments for next-stage processing (e.g., steaming, lint-rolling, measuring) to meet presentation and operational standards
Generate SKUs and oversee ticketing to ensure correct labeling and traceability
Learn and apply brand-specific identifiers, collection details, and style names to support accurate authentication and pricing
Facilitate the physical transfer of merchandise between internal departments and retail store locations, ensuring proper handling and accountability
Communicate discrepancies, delays, or product issues to the Receiving Manager and appropriate cross-functional teams in a timely and professional manner
Provide support to other Operations teams including Quality Control, Authentication, and Retail as business needs arise
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in the fashion industry, preferably with luxury or vintage product
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
Passion for luxury fashion is essential; familiarity with vintage RTW is a plus
Experience in authentication or appraisal is beneficial but not required
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs as part of daily operational tasks
