Plant Manager (Finance)
Responsible for establishing / maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment throughout the entire business unit.
A willingness to do whatever the company requires to meet customer needs, including but not limited to: packaging or processing of product and/or other duties as assigned.
Directs and plans operations to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective production of goods. This includes participating in audit process, including but not limited to customer service and audits.
Responsible for understanding and establishing costing standards for the products produced with an emphasis on costing/producing profitability.
This position will ensure and verify that the resources necessary for production are available and, if shortages are identified, takes action to obtain needed ingredients, materials, manpower, etc.
Provide technical guidance to department heads, directs the Maintenance Manager to assure equipment is operated at best possible efficiency, prioritizing needed repairs, allowing equipment maintenance plans to be executed efficiently.
Develops, prioritizes, and ensures the successful execution of projects to drive savings and plant efficiency as well as maintaining regulatory compliance, and a safe work environment for employees.
Establish and hold others accountable to high performance standards for efficiency, effectiveness, quantity and quality of work.
Maintains a culture of "continuous improvement" both for employees and plant operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in all aspects of operations (Federal, State, and local agencies).
Maintain open lines of communication with all members of management to ensure we meet and or exceed our customers' expectations as well as company financial profitability goals.
Ensures proper adherence and directs company programs including but not limited to: Regulatory compliance, SPCC, Tier II, Osha reporting, sustainability reporting.
WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years' experience managing in the ingredient, beverage, or food processing industry.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field and/or five or more years' industry experience in similar role.
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to utilize both in-house and external resources to execute a swift and effective solution to plant issues.
An understanding of Food Processing production processes, quality issues, and food safety.
Extreme attention to detail in the generation of accurate paperwork.
