PAINT TECHNICIAN (Finance)
Performs and documents solids testing of incoming paint materials
Perform receiving inspection for all paints and solvents
Follows and helps update/develop work instructions pertaining to job responsibilities
Mixes paint based on product requirements and performs necessary viscosity testing
Document paint usage from each process line
Keep inventory of paint and solvent
Manages paint inventory, ordering based on usage
Ensures that flammable storage is done correctly
Ensures that flammable product is grounded correctly
Cleans out the paint vats of paint debris and scrap parts
Ensures all paint and solvent product is labeled correctly
Ensures all waste (hazardous or non-hazardous) is labeled correctly
Disposes of paint waste according to regulations
Communicates with the Production Supervisors and Team Leaders to fulfill the paint needs of the production floor
Must be forklift certified
Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed
Maintains accurate variety of records
Check operation parameters (temperature, viscosity) on each paint line
Clear supplier metal totes
Maintain housekeeping standards
Perform monthly comprehensive site inspection
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Majority of the day is spent on foot and has intermittent bending
Education/Qualifications
· Demonstrated organization and decision-making skills
· Paint experience preferred but not required
· Effective time management, quality oriented, strong attention to detail
· Ability to work as a team member to accomplish department goals
· Ability to learn new skills quickly
· Good oral and written communication skills
