Logistics Coordinator - Fort Myers, FL (Finance)
Accepting customer loads upon approval of the Logistics Account Manager, building loads, booking loads, organizing loads and tracking loads
Notifying customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movement, and deliveries
Maintaining lines of communication with carriers, customers, shipping, and receiving facilities
Data entry into fleet management system and online customer/vendor platforms
Retaining records of purchase orders and various administrative or clerical support tasks
Contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities to resolve problems or make adjustments as needed
Continuously communicating with the Logistics Account Manager and trainee(s) to ensure proper maintenance of accounts
Negotiating contracts for individual freight shipments
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Business Administration or other related field of logistics strongly preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Strongly preferred
Ability to think proactively and plan ahead
Knowledge of multiple transportation and logistics disciplines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and problem solve. 1+ years of load planning, data coordinating, or transportation and customer service experience strongly preferred
