Program Management Leader- NORAM

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Program Management Leader who will work with the VP of Quality and Program Management to coordinate, manage and implement the Bid and Program Management policies, processes, and tools in the North America (NORAM) Region.

Key Areas of Responsibility

This position will be the NORAM Representative who will optimize operational environment by working with the Vice President of Bids and Projects, as well as the business project leads within the supported business lines of NORAM to define, deploy and coordinate the bid and project management practices and tools within the region. This role will specifically focus on addressing areas identified as problematic across all supported business lines. This position would use the PM & Bid NORAM network to do this who meet at a monthly basis.

  • Assess and support the bids and projects teams, and share best practices (Peer reviews, Tiger missions, Improvement plans, B&P network…),

  • Coordinate and enable the Thales Integrated Maturity System (TIMS) maturity assessment activities for Bids & Projects,

  • Develop people and manage the job family.

  • The NORAM rep works with HR to deploy the mentoring program for the PM network by not only being a Coach and Mentee but ensure that the most senior PM's spend time as mentors to the NorAm PM community.

  • The NORAM rep also executes the deployment of people review at the PM level and the certification program for NORAM with the support of HR.

  • Assist in the collection, analyzing and corrective action planning for Performance and Operations Dashboard for our PM critical projects. Needs to have a good understood of Bids & Projects, S&OP and Industry KPI.

  • Coordinate with each of the PM & BID Global Business Unite (GBU) leaders to ensure that objectives are aligned and alignment with policy and tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a quality organization supporting bids/ programs, or as an equivalent, 14 years of relevant combination of education and Quality/ Bid/ Program management experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience of leading or supporting, at a senior level, program management for large and complex projects within an international enterprise.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the collection, analyzing and corrective action planning for Performance and Operations Dashboard for our PM critical projects, which necessitates a demonstrated understanding of Bids & Projects, S&OP and Industry KPI's.

  • Proven experience working across different business units to define, deploy and coordinate the bid and project management practices and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience presenting concise status of projects or initiatives to stakeholders/ executive leadership.

  • IPMA and/or PMA Certification

Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday. Flexible times to accommodates coordination and meetings with France and across

the NorAm Region

Travel: Anticipated travel estimated at 15% annually, both domestic and international.
