Bakehouse Savory Kitchen Supervisor (Finance)
Five days per week for 40 hours
Shift begins at 5am most days
Weekend and Holiday availability (the savory kitchen does not work on Thanksgiving or Christmas)
Full availability in November and December (we don't take any extra time off during these months)
What does the job pay?
Starting pay range is $14-17 per hour, or negotiable based on experience
Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the following:
Participate in the preparation of all of the menu items, and components each day. Menu items include grab 'n go packaged sandwiches, scratch made soups and stocks, salads, dressings, deli salads, seasonal specials,donuts and more.
Prepares and cooks according to food safety guidelines and standards
Works all stations and areas throughout the kitchen
Assists Kitchen Manager in training, developing and retaining staff.
Assists Kitchen Manager in managing labor, food cost, and other expenditures to positively contribute to the financial success of the Bakehouse
Regularly tastes and evaluates the quality and flavor of our food while providing feedback and instruction to team as needed
Works with Kitchen Manager to document, and continually improve new and existing items and processes
Uses, updates, and maintains documentation for food quality and presentation
Participates in the ordering and inventory of ingredients
Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during an 9-10 hour shift
Standing, lifting and bending for duration of an 9-10 hour shift

Where are we?
Zingerman's Bakehouse is located on the south side of Ann Arbor at 3711 Plaza Drive. While there is a bus stop within walking distance, the Bakehouse is NOT located on the AATA bus route.
