Product Coordinator (Creative Design)



Job Title: Product Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Product Line Manager

Location: Deckers Goleta
 

The Role

The Product Coordinator will support the Product Team in executing the brand strategy, as well organization of trend and market research, samples, linesheets/worksheets. The Product Coordinator will work closely with Product Line Mangers to translate the global product line into Flex PLM and will collaborate with cross functional team members on Product Development, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Copywriting.

Your Impact
 

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • 1. Organization of trend, market research, samples, product line (worksheets, linesheets)
    • Is our go-to person to organize and maintain samples across all seasons, assist in trend and market research
    • Manage the product line in Flex PLM – Ensure all style names / numbers, pricing, color codes, line art, etc are up to date in the system
  • 2. Responsible for creation and maintenance of global line sheets, data, and sales worksheets in Flex PLM
    • Any changes made to the global product line are captured at any given point in the season along with updated assets for easy reference
  • 3. Support Product Line Managers
    • Own sample process and management between cross-functional teams 
    • Note taking during seasonal category meetings
    • Organization of linesheets / worksheets and any necessary tools for meetings
  • Assist with general organization of product and briefing binders
  • Maintain a binder and database of seasonal trend, competitor data; gathering of relevant market research for new and emerging products
  • 4. Work closely with cross-functional teams
    • Product Development Coordinator
    • Marketing and Copywriting teams
    • Flex PLM Management
    • Sales Operations

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 months – 3 years related experience in retail/wholesale, product line design and/or development, merchandising, etc. with fashion footwear preferred
  • Experience performing administrative tasks, adhering to project calendars, and executing against deadlines
  • Business acumen - continuously evaluates competitors and the marketplace to creatively capitalize on market opportunities
  • Basic understanding of product merchandising concepts and process
  • Analytic ability to process complex data and information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Strong organization skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Knowledgeable in current trends
  • Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
