Job Description
Civil Engineering Intern
We provide civil engineering services to both private and public sectors. Our clients are mainly Property Owners, Developers, Architects, Contractors, and Public Agencies. Our projects are primarily in the following market sectors: Commercial, Retail, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Multi-Family Housing, Parks & Recreational Facilities, Health Care, K-12 Schools, Higher Education, Military, Transportation, and Public Agencies.
The scope of our services may include site assessment, due diligence, master planning, entitlement, grading & drainage design, hydrology study, storm water quality design, utility improvements, street improvement plans, public utilities, and technical studies for environmental impact reports. In addition we provide project management and prime contract work.
We are seeking motivated and energetic Civil Engineering Interns that is seeking to learn more about the civil engineering profession and KPFF.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to function effectively in a teamwork environment.
• E.I.T. certificate or previous intern experience preferred.
• Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to the design and construction of major building projects located in California.
• Familiarity with typically utilized computer software programs (AUTOCAD, Civil 3D, Hydrology, Hydraulic, Flowmaster, Excel for Windows and Word for Windows).
