Quality Assurance Engineer (Architecture)

Provide technical support to Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding product and process inspection, auditing, sampling plans, process controls, and statistical data gathering and analysis.
Set up, develop, and continuously improve inspection systems and manufacturing techniques through auditing, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and SPC..
Provide quality system development and auditing for the division.
Prepare and facilitate Customer, Regulatory Agency, and ISO Audits.
Participate in Supplier Evaluation, Selection, and Certification; assist in execution of Supplier evaluation system; participate in on-site facilities and systems evaluations to aid in supplier selection and certification decisions.
Provide technical support to Purchasing regarding supplier capability, quality status, inspection test methods and non-conformances.
Report quarterly to division management team on critical quality metrics.
Conduct design and process reviews using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies such as FMEA, MSA, or Control Plans (where applicable).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

· Maintain documentation of the quality system and all related activites.
· Conduct quality audits to ensure internal compliance.
· Analyze quality trends and participate in process improvement activities.
· Build solid relationships with Quality personnel from customers and suppliers to assure key characteristics and contractual requirements are met.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related Technical Discipline AND
2 years of work experience in manufacturing environment in Quality role(s) OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); Web proficiency.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Electronics process manufacturing experience and/or training preferred.
Understanding of application of raw materials; working knowledge of the electronic component manufacturing process.
Knowledge and understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, J-STD 001, ISO-9001, and AS 9100.
Knowledge of quality systems and techniques, process controls - including SPC and project team facilitation methods.
Understanding of LAN and information systems; familiarity with commercial product considerations, safety protocols, and typical regulations governing relations between buyer and seller.
