Cost Accountant (Maintenance)
We are looking for a dynamic team member to join our team as a Cost Accountant!

Where we are located: Our facility is located in Shelbyville, Indiana. This area is a great location for commuters and residents of the Indianapolis area. Within a 30-45-minute commute are opportunities to live in the heart of a vibrant city or live in a suburb with all the amenities. We also have manufacturing facilities located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Monterrey, Mexico. Our Corporate Headquarters reside in Adrian, Michigan.
What the position entails: As a member of the Finance team, this incumbent will support our manufacturing facilities by serving as the plant finance lead and will prepare financial analysis to various levels of management.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible to create, maintain, review and audit various financial transactions in accordance with GAAPReconcile assigned accountsAssist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processAnalyze variances and conduct monthly financial reviews with managementDevelop Direct labor and overhead rates for planning purposes and standard comparisonsAssist with quarterly reforecast and annual planningSupport plant locations as neededAssist in creation and administration of company policies & procedures to ensure adequate internal control and safeguarding of company assetsTravel required; up to 10% at certain times of the yearOther accounting duties as assignedActively supports and manages within Brazeways mission, vision, Code of Conduct and Process Based Leadership guidelinesActively supports our 5S + Safety programs
What a candidate must have to be qualified for the role:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/ Finance2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment requiredProficient with MicroSoft Office productsExperience with an ERP system requiredExperience in Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) a plusStrong written, analytical and communication skillsStrong commitment to a team environmentBilingual (Spanish) a plus
