Receiving Clerk (Finance)
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiving clerk will check all inbound load seals and paperwork. The clerk will maintain the receiving dock schedule and work closely with the Ops Planning, Materials, Production, and Shipping departments to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are received in and unloaded for production needs. The clerk will ensure all proper documentation is received for the loads and the product is received in for the purchase order, if not the clerk will take the appropriate actions to rectify.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Receive goods receipts against the purchase order for the plant side, inbound transportation, and cost/utility.
Check loads and seals.
Process sample requisitions, inter-company transfers, transfers from outside storage locations for production packaging supplies and raw materials, and other small packages for shipment.
Data entry as required including entry into SAP and other computer systems.
Maintain accurate record of receipts.
Prepare outgoing materials for shipment as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education: GED or High School diploma
Experience ( Years/Type ): Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Proficiency in reading and math. Must have data entry and computer skills. Must have Word and Excel skills.
