Innovation Software Developer (Able to obtain Secret Clearance) (Government)

Responsibilities:I

nnovation Software Developer (ISD) – Working for the IPA/TL, the ISD will assist in the research and development of XR and other new technology training into USAF training curriculum. The ISD duties include (but are not be limited to):

  • Integration of disparate and diverse technologies.
  • Develops synthetic task environments for research studies.
  • Evaluates off the shelf game-based technologies to determine military efficacy.
  • Works with XR hardware and software development kits.
  • Evaluates XR hardware and software modeling and simulation.
  • Provides technology integration advice to leadership and decision makers.
  • Provides on-site XR familiarization training at ACC formal training units.
  • Collaborates with XR content creators and developers across the DoD.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or ≥5 years of full-time employment in a related industry).
  • Experience working with Extended Reality - XR technology.
  • Experience with Unity3D and Unreal engines.
  • Familiarity with common programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, and Python.
  • Familiarity with common source control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with localization technologies and their applications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across CONUS.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience working with USAF or DoD training programs.
  • Experience with Computer-based 3D modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with game design and development.
  • Experience with database creation, data capture methods, and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with mobile platforms and application development (IOS/Android/Etc.).
  • A currently active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
