Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities • Evaluate new process technology or chemistry as they relate to quality, cost reductions, safety, impact on regulatory and environmental requirements • Perform research to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations regarding air, wastewater, and hazardous waste permitting, reporting, training, and other related material • Perform desk audits of internal Pioneer tracking spreadsheets, calendars, and notes relating to permitting, reporting, inspections, and training files. • Find solutions to environmental gaps by working with fellow Pioneer employees and external consultants, contractors, and vendors. • Assist with additional EHS, process control, or engineering tasks • Hours 20 - 30 hrs week • Start ASAP Physical/Environmental/Chemical Hazards: • Lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted. • Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection). • Must be able to differentiate between color variance. • Potential splash exposure near process lines. • Responsibilities are repetitive in nature. • Various chemicals are used in the process.
Education/Qualifications • Current college student studying environmental sciences or similar degree
