Human Resources Business Partner (Finance)
Conducts meetings with respective department leaders as needed to address and prioritize HR related issues within the organization.
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Ability to learn the basics of current state, federal and provincial laws in order to be more effective in interview skills and in identifying critical employee related complaints
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with Director of Human to remedy legal risks to organization.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program, and revises as necessary.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Work with line management for hiring approvals.
Develops offer letters for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
Conduct training to managers and supervisors on topics including labor law, sexual harassment, interview tips, and hiring, and terminating employees.
Type, format, prepare and maintain various documents to include but not limited to letters, memorandums, reports, briefings, spreadsheets, policies, procedures, brochures, and manuals.
Responsible for separation processes including exit interviews, employment documents, and payroll coordination.
Assist as needed in the development, formulation, implementation of departmental goals, and objectives as well as company policies.
Ensure that all departmental transactions remain confidential and release information to those only authorized to receive it
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Perform other duties as requested by Director of Human Resources
May require travel as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 4-6 years' progressive HR experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and multi-state respective employment laws.
The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.
A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.
Coaching and mentoring at management level.
Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs.
