Since 1975 Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) has been an essential part of the Kansas City metro. Our mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault, and to prevent sexual violence in our community. We are seeking a therapist to work with individuals and families who live in Kansas via tele-health, at MOCSAs main office location and at outreach sites throughout the metro region.
SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing counseling services to victims of sexual trauma.
JOB OBJECTIVES 1. Client Services Provide evidence based individual, family and group counseling to survivors of sexual violence, youth with sexual behavior problems, and significant others at MOCSA offices and outreach sites. Provide case management including coordination of services with child protective, legal and community collaterals. Complete all client documentation. Participate in collaborative meetings with external professionals.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work. LCPC, LSCSW or LCMFT in Kansas or PLCP in Missouri. Must be eligible for licensure in Missouri and Kansas. If clinical supervision is needed, must register for clinical supervision within 15 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications LCPC, LCSW or LCMFT in Missouri. Training and or certification in Evidence Based Practices such as EMDR, TF-CBT, or CPT or registration as a Play Therapist. Experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or children who have been involved with foster care or child protection services.

WORK HOURS This is a full-time position; business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular evening and occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL Regular travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area to perform counseling and outreach services.
BENEFITS Vacation, Holiday, Sick Pay, Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability Insurance, 403(b) and Cafeteria program. The salary range for this position is $43,000 - $53,000 for provisional/non-clinical licensure, $47,000 - $57,000 for clinically licensed counselors.
