Personal Care Housekeeping Assistant (Healthcare)
This is a Full-Time opening, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

Housekeeping Assistant Responsibilities include:
Perform cleaning duties in resident rooms daily, according to established policies, procedures, and schedule.
Remove trash and waste from Residents' rooms and transport waste to the disposal area.
Clean, maintain, and replenish resident bathrooms and supplies.
Clean and prepare rooms for new residents.
Clean, vacuum, scrub, wax, and other general cleaning duties to maintain resident common areas, including hallways, stairways, elevators, entrances, and exits.
Assists maintenance with transferring residents and their belongings, as needed.
Additional responsibilities, as assigned.
Housekeeping Requirements:
Experience and Education:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred, but not required.
Prior housekeeping/laundry experience preferred, but not required.
Basic English Language Skills, including ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Basic Mathematical Skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Basic Reasoning Skills, including ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other skills and abilities:
Prior housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work well within a geriatric setting.
Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks.
