Position Schedule:
2nd Shift: 12 hour shift
Responsibilities:
Maintain proper steam load for production to run, perform water chemistry test, and rounds. Communicate with Chief, plant production personal, and Maintenance. Answer to any boiler inspector/officer when on site. Maintain plant air for production and report to appropriate personal both the plant and outside
Troubleshoot boiler issues and take appropriate corrective action. Complete PMs as assigned by the Boiler Chief. Answer for all boiler issues and questions during you shift.
Perform downtime preventative maintenance and repairs on all boiler equipment. Replace/maintain air compressor & air dryer filters. Spill prevention and storm audit.
Receive/transfer fuel oil, add oil treatment as needed, and able to control/contain spill. Maintain heat recovery system, and auxiliary equipment
Weekend and nights rounds of the facility, ensuring security fire system, generators, hot room, and other general issues.
Assist with and maintain documentation of SOP, and boiler equipment. Assist in boiler shutdown, preforming tasked assigned.
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
Perform all assigned duties as assigned by Supervision.

Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions as described by supervision
Must know basic maintenance skills
Must understand the hand tools and power tools used by mechanics.
Must be familiar with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and practices
Must be able to work around caustic systems, acid systems, boiler chemical, steam systems, electricity and know the safeguards against being accidentally exposed to fumes, live steam, and/or electrical shock
Must be able to wear required PPE at all times, work varied schedules and overtime as required.
Must be able to operator all equipment in department of assignment.
Experience, Skills, Education:
3-5 years experience as Stationary Engineer
3rd Class Stationary Engineer
High school diploma required
Technical School and Certificate/License preferred
