Business Development Manager (Finance)
Job Description: Reporting to the Chief Commerical Officer, this position will lead the liquefied natural gas (LNG) business development team. You and team will be responsible for actively seeking new clients and business opportunities selling natural gas to specific market segments. The ideal candidate will be a key leader with company profitability by generating leads, qualifying new prospects, and successfully managing the sale of our product/services, as well as being comfortable interacting with C level executives and key decision makers during the sales process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Lead the business development team in developing and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities for business growth.
• Build, train, and actively manage a small business development team aligned with sales/revenue growth and overall company objectives.
• Foster a collaborative team environment for individual development and team development.
• Meet with prospective clients and develop proposals to secure their business.
• Add new business on a consistent basis by developing growth action plans; prospecting/cold calling techniques; actively manage prospect pipeline and convert into customers; acquire and close referral and qualified leads.
• Effectively educate commercial customers on offered products/services
• Achieve individual and team sales objectives and complete monthly reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in trade shows, conventions and local networking events promoting products/services.
• Utilize the CRM to manage, forecast, and provide information about your prospects.
Position Requirements
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience driving and achieving business development results
• 3+ years of building, training and managing a small team
• Experience in generating new B2B partnerships
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Work collaboratively, as well as independently
• Demonstrated leadership with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence a wide range of audiences
