Advanced Field Service Engineer (FSE)-Aerospace/Fuel Controls (Finance)



As an Advanced Field Service Engineer (FSE)-Aerospace/Fuel Controls here at Honeywell, you will provide full time technical support to the United States Air Force (USAF). You will provide specialized technical guidance and support for Honeywell's components and test equipment while assigned at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC). Your role involves evaluating and advising on maintenance practices, delivering hands-on training, and assisting with troubleshooting and accident investigations. The Advanced FSE must communicate effectively with personnel at all levels and provide timely feedback to enable informed decisions. The Advanced FSE must be able to interface effectively in a team environment by communicating with Honeywell and USAF support groups. The Advanced FSE may be required to attend meetings or to perform troubleshooting assistance at various locations within the assignment area. The Advanced FSE shall become familiar with USAF maintenance manuals, tech data, and Honeywell processes pertaining to Honeywell Fuel Control Systems.

You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Manager and work 100% at the Client site located at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Expertise: Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical aptitude required to offer troubleshooting and support for operations and maintenance of fuel and environmental control systems, along with associated test, tooling and measurement equipment
  • Training: Conduct over-the-shoulder training for OC-ALC depot personnel during maintenance of aircraft fuel and environmental control system components, testing practices and as required assistance during interpretation of Honeywell or USAF technical data
  • Support Operations: Collaborate with OC-ALC and USAF engineering and logistics teams to enhance decision-making related to fuel and environmental control systems, associated test equipment and tooling operations and maintenance. Ability to work with customers at levels ranging from shop floor mechanics, engineering and senior leadership in the investigation, reporting, and resolution of issues
  • Customer Guidance: Use Honeywell and OC-ALC resources to advise on whether to replace or repair faulty parts when published guidelines are not available
  • Assessment and Investigation: Execute technical assessments, assist in accident investigations, and resolve repair issues related to systems and equipment
  • Data Collection: Gather and analyze data for Honeywell and OC-ALC field investigations and develop conclusions and recommendations with program personnel
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams from Honeywell and government entities
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with Honeywell and OC-ALC regarding aircraft component, tooling and test equipment maintainability and customer satisfaction
  • Reporting: Prepare and present the status of field activities and outstanding technical issues monthly and during meetings with Honeywell and OC-ALC management
  • Due to the nature of this discipline, maybe required to work off-hours, on weekends, and/or holidays,on occasion
  • Ability to pass U.S. Government background checks
  • Travel: US based, less than 5%
