Summer Sports Camp Instructor (Finance)
Minimum age of 17
Experience with children leading recreational activities preferred
Knowledge of rules of a variety of sports and a willingness to learn other sport fundamentals as necessary a plus
Must demonstrate courtesy and service to program participants and maintain a professional appearance.
SPORTS CAMP INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and participate with participants during all large and small group activities, lunch and while on the bus/vans.
Treat all children with dignity and respect and allow for individual differences.
Provide an atmosphere of acceptance and caring for each child and show as much individual attention as possible to each child.
Be familiar with and adhere to the program's policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures and be ready to implement if necessary.
Demonstrate proper care and storage of equipment and supplies.
Communicate effectively with all other staff, parents, and participants.
Maintain an open, friendly, professional relationship with staff, parents, and campers.
Primary Responder for all accidents and incidents.
Supervise all Sports Camp program areas including locker rooms and bathrooms.
Assist the Sports Camp lead in completing routine and required forms to include, but not limited to: attendance records, observation records, and incident and injury reports.
Prepare snack or meals as assigned.
May be required to work hours outside of the normal work schedule for trainings, extended program hours and staff meetings.
