Electrical Maintainer/Apprentice (Finance)
Job Responsibilities :
Note: the following responsibilities are applicable only as/once the candidate is skilled and certified to perform until reaching the journeyman status level.
Performs all types of electrical and electronic construction, maintenance, calibration, and repair work in and about the plant.
Uses all tools and equipment commonly used in performing electrical and electronic construction, maintenance, and repair work such as testing equipment, personal computer, pipe threading machine, pipe bender, high lift truck, and miscellaneous hand tools.
Directs other maintenance and operating personnel when they assist Electrical/Electronic Maintainer.
Receives wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions concerning scheduled and emergency construction, maintenance, rebuilding, and repair work. Analyzes prints, wiring diagrams, or makes on-the-job inspections to locate source of trouble. Plans details, establishes working procedure, determines tools and materials needed, and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wiring specification codes, material properties, and principles of operating equipment. Understands how mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment responds to electronic controls. Troubleshoots and repairs electronic parts and devices. Works in field or shop as required.
Dismantles, cleans, inspects, rebuilds, repairs, calibrates, replaces, installs, assembles, tests, adjusts, and lubricates electrical and electronic equipment and components using tools common to the trade. Takes into consideration safety measures required and properly isolates and repairs circuits with a minimum of interference to operations.
Installs conduit fittings, fixtures, and wiring and makes electrical connections for new installations or replacement of facilities. Makes joints and splices for electrical cable. Inspects motors for bearing lubrication, commutation, excessive vibration, signs of wear, or need for adjustment. Changes or replaces motors and related components and cleans motors.
Makes predictive and preventive maintenance inspections as required in accordance with production schedules. Enters data on personal computer. Performs basic mechanical repairs. Assists maintenance and operating personnelin the performance of their duties.
Performs miscellaneous duties such as filling out standard forms, ordering parts and supplies, locking out circuits prior to making repairs, cleaning and repairing transformers, repairing or replacing thermocouple wires, and keeping tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly.
Requirements :
- High School diploma or GED with at least 4years of general maintenance experience in an industrial ormanufacturing environment with the expressed interest in pursuingelectrical maintenance.
- Willingness to attend and successfullycomplete required academic and technical training in electrical maintenance, as needed (company provided).
